Our vision is priceless! However, we often take it for granted. Imagine not being able to see a loved one’s face, read a book, or complete daily living activities like driving a car. According to the World Health Organization, an estimated 2.2 billion people around the world have vision impairment or blindness. More than half of these cases could have been prevented or have not yet been treated.

October 14th is World Sight Day, an international day of awareness held every October to focus attention on the global issue of eye health. This year for World Sight Day, we are asking you to UNITE FOR SIGHT with us to raise awareness about the importance of vision health, raise funds to provide the gift of clearer sight to children and adults and need here in Northeast Florida, and to prevent vision loss by keeping an eye on your vision health.

How you can help:

Take Strides For Sight with us on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at our 5th Annual Strides For Sight Awareness Walk to raise awareness about the importance of vision health and access to vision care. Registration is free.

Your gift, no matter its size, will make a big impact by providing the gift of clearer sight to children and adults in need. Your donation will provide eye exams, glasses, and specialty care to our community’s underserved and uninsured.

It is estimated that over 80% of visual impairment is preventable or treatable. Despite this, millions of people across the globe remain at risk of visual loss due to lack of eye care services. Help prevent vision loss by scheduling an eye exam.
